Chapter 7 - Prediction of separation from a cylinder

1. Problems

(i) Woods' model for variable pressure behind the cylinder results in a pressure gradient singularity strength

$\displaystyle \kappa =\kappa (\alpha_s, C_p).
$

Can this, instead of Brodetsky's singularity strength (which is the case $ C_p=0$), be combined with Sychev's hypothesis in any rational way?

(ii) We conjecture that the reattachment point for a rotational corner flow might be an interesting example for studying reattachment generally and particularly for comparison with the model in Peregrine(1985): is this true?

2. Software

(i) sw.f Stewartson & William's free interaction solution
(i) riley.m Riley's method to calculate slender Sadoviskii vortex shape
