The St John's College Boat
Club Society (SJCBC Society) was set up promote and support St John's
College Boat Club. The aims of the society are:
• To develop the SJCBC community through holding regular social events
and continue the involvement of past members in the life of the club
• To further the objectives of SJCBC through provision of alumni support
- financial, logistical and otherwise.
• To develop a network for Society members to maintain their links with
former crewmates.Society members
receive a termly newsletter, containing news of the Club and the Society
and an invitation to the get-together on the Saturday of Summer Eights.
There is also the triennial SJCBC Society dinner – the next one of which
is on 16th April 2011. This will involve the chance to row again with
former crewmates as well as a black tie dinner in college in the
evening. As the Society grows, we are planning to organise more events.

Membership is £50.00 a year; however, alumni who have graduated within
the past 5 years only pay £20.00!
